Beebe Barksdale-Bruner holds an MFA in creative writing from Queens University of Charlotte and a BFA in painting from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Eclectica, Mad Hatter Review, Main Street Rag, R.KV.R.Y, Sage of Consciousness, Stick Your Neck Out, Survivor Review, words.words.words, and in the anthologies AguaTerra #3, Home for the Holidays (Old Mountain Press, 2006), and In the Yard (Old Mountain Press, 2006).
“Dark wit and playfulness are tools that make up this poet's tropes. Beebe Barksdale-Bruner has a way of calling our attention to minute particulars in the way that Emily Dickinson did, which is another aspect of her talent that makes her poetry unique.”
  — Willie James King, author of At the Forest Edge

“Beebe Barksdale-Bruner closely examines the fine details of our lives through a wry, skewed perspective that is all her own. Her poems are alternately playful and gorgeous—and often both at once. This is a collection to be savored.”
  — Michael Kobre, Charles A. Dana Professor of English, and Co-Director, MFA Program, Queens University of Charlotte

"It Comes to Me Loosely Woven is a tapestry of skillfully crafted poems. These are works filled with energy and passion—Beebe Barksdale-Bruner's is an eye on this world that lets nothing pass its close, loving inspection. What good luck to have this book."
Cathy Smith Bowers, Poet Laureate of North Carolina and author of Like Shining From Shook Foil
